Online Lessons: To Skype or Not To Skype...

Some PROS I have found with my Skype lessons thus far:
  • Focus (it's hard to fake it with a camera on you!),  
  • Only one person can talk or play at a time! :-).  
  • Flexibility - it can be easier to find lesson times for us to meet!
  • Less driving time!
  • ​HEALTH - we have zero change of making each other ill in this context!



Some CONS I have found with my Skype lessons thus far:
  • Nothing can substitute for the experience of being in a room with someone in-person & live to make music.  We make music to express and connect 
  • SOLUTION: this is why it is my policy to meet in person with online students at least 1-2 times per year!
