Workshops & Teaching Artist Residencies

Emma has taught a variety of residencies and workshops to students from all walks of life, childhood through adulthood. These residencies have been held at music festivals, universities, high, middle and elementary schools, in after school programs, band symposiums, choir retreats, chamber music festivals, community centers and non-profits.  This work has brought her throughout the US, from Boston to Las Vegas, Colorado to New York, and internationally from Canada to Taiwan. As a performing flutist in jazz, classical and world music genres, and through her training as a Dalcroze teacher and the "Teaching Artist Program" at the Longy School of Music, Emma has designed curriculum to fit versatile audiences. Her love of integrative education has led to a degree in Biology and Evolutionary Ecology, and most recently she has co-founded a non-profit, Integral Steps, which focuses on the balanced development of children, families, and communities through music, movement, psychology, ecology and creative arts.  Interactive performances, integrative experiences, and professional development for all fields are just some of the exciting programs she can bring to your school, camp, institute, or business.
